Redhill, Nike and skidpans…..

Posted by on January 12th, 2010

way back when the weather was nice, September i think, i got a phone call from Phil wanting to know if me and a couple of other digmore locals fancied a couple of days work shaping in transitions, squaring off and claying up lips for a mountain bike photoshoot for Nike and dirt magazine. paid to dig….alright then. i was made to promise not to put up any pictures until it appeared in the magazine…well it has now, so i suppose i can put up my pictures:

So basically we worked for a couple of days, tidying up, shaping in and making skidpans. ask homer about paul ‘skidpan’ bliss and herrmann about bryceland next time you see them. Then Team Nike MTB came and had look, made their suggestions to how they wanted it all to be so they could  go nuts and we came back and basically slackened everything off.

The feature is in dirt magazine at the moment and it came out looking alright i reckon. The spot is still at Redhill extreme as far as i know should anyone wanna go ride it next year. I would suggest taking a shovel to tidy stuff up before you get riding. Say hello to Neil the guy who runs the place, (he will probably have a mower in his hand)  he is a sweet dude who kept us in tea.

Here is a video of the shoot that was put together by Adi’s best mate!
